Originally established in Canberra, Australia in 1986, we recently made a strategic decision to grow our retail sales presence in the US market. Our Delaware subsidiary will now sell to US residents from our US warehouse. So we are seeking win-win relationships with US wholesalers whose systems and general approach help us keep overheads low.
As part of that aim, we are asking suppliers to provide a digital file of their inventory in either csv or Excel format. Our IT department will access that file using proprietary software that optimizes our product selection and places our purchase orders. At the start of our relationship with a supplier, our purchase orders tend to be small until demand is proven. So it is important to let us know of any minimum order quantities.
Each purchase order we place will authorize the supplier to charge our credit card when they dispatch our order. We will not be asking suppliers for credit, which will reduce to zero a supplier’s normal costs of carrying and collecting credit on our account. For that reason we will give preference to suppliers that:
- waive credit card fees (a small win for us, big win for you with credit control costs zero)
- waive minimum order quantities while we establish in the US
- provide free delivery to our US warehouse
- open an account using the information below
